MOVE COMPATIBLE RC4WD 1.9 STEEL WHEELS INBOARD BY 1.8 MM

The RC4WD Z-S1941 is a four-piece narrow 5-lug pin-mount hub set for specific RC4WD 1.9-inch stamped-steel wheels. Each adapter is CNC-machined from billet aluminum and finished in black anodizing. Its purpose is precise: replace the standard wheel hub arrangement to narrow the wheel offset by 1.8 mm per side, helping tune stance and tire-to-body clearance on compatible builds.

This is a wheel-mounting component, not a wheel set. Wheels, tires, axles and vehicles shown in the images are not included.

WHAT THE 1.8 MM CHANGE MEANS

Verified manufacturer fact: RC4WD states that this hub narrows the offset by 1.8 mm compared with the stock wheel hub.

Engineering interpretation: with one Z-S1941 installed on each side of an axle, the nominal track width is reduced by approximately 3.6 mm in total. This can pull the tires farther under the body, but it may also reduce clearance to steering knuckles, links, shocks or suspension components. Actual clearance depends on the axle, wheel, tire and steering geometry.

RC4WD lists Z-S1941 for the following 1.9-inch stamped-steel wheels:

Do not infer compatibility from wheel diameter or a five-lug appearance alone. The wheel must use the correct RC4WD mounting pattern and provide the required internal and axle-thread clearance.

AXLE COMPATIBILITY AND CRITICAL WARNINGS

RC4WD lists the following optional axle applications on the current Z-S1941 product page:

  • Z-A0061 — Yota Ultimate Scale Cast Straight Axle, Rear
  • Z-A0080 — Yota II Ultimate Scale Cast Axle V2, Front
  • Z-A0081 — Yota II Ultimate Scale Cast Axle, Rear

Not compatible with Axial SCX10 or SCX10 II axles. RC4WD specifically states that axle-thread fitment prevents use on those platforms. Do not attempt to force the adapter over incompatible threads.

RC4WD also notes that mounting on Axial axles can require a washer or spacer because of thread-depth differences. This general note does not override the explicit SCX10 and SCX10 II incompatibility. For any unlisted axle, measure and test-fit before final assembly.

The manufacturer’s package list describes the four main pieces as “Wheel Hex Hub Brake Discs”; the product itself is specified and sold as the Z-S1941 narrow pin-mount set.

Not included: wheels, tires, axles, vehicles, tools, washers or spacers.

INSTALLATION CHECKLIST

  1. Confirm the wheel SKU appears in the exact compatibility list above.
  2. Confirm the axle is suitable. Stop if the build uses an Axial SCX10 or SCX10 II axle.
  3. Compare the 4.2 mm center opening and 6.5 mm hub width with the axle-thread and retaining-hardware arrangement.
  4. Install all five wheel fasteners by hand first, then tighten gradually in an alternating pattern so the hub seats flat.
  5. Mount the wheel and check axle-thread engagement. Add a correctly sized washer or spacer only when required by the axle geometry; no universal spacer thickness is specified by RC4WD.
  6. Rotate the assembly through full steering and suspension travel. Verify clearance to the knuckle, links, shocks, body and tire sidewall.
  7. Recheck all hardware after the first run and during routine maintenance. RC4WD does not publish a torque value on this product page; do not overtighten the M2.5 hardware.

GASHEAD RC FITMENT NOTE

Z-S1941 is a specialized inboard-offset conversion, not a universal 1.9-inch wheel adapter. Buy it when the wheel SKU and axle interface are both confirmed. The 1.8 mm-per-side change is useful for tucking tires under a scale body, but the reduced inboard clearance must be checked on the actual chassis.
